Having returned to racing in undoubtable career-best form this time in, Trust In A Gust has been confirmed in the 2014 Crystal Mile final field and will leave from barrier 7 with regular jockey Brad Rawiller in on board.

Claiming a commendable total of ten wins and a further five minor places form his seventeen competitive starts so far, Trust In A Gust won the Jeep Don’t Hold Back BM90 (1200m) first-up this time in, and while unlucky to finish second when blocked for a run early in the final straight of the Group 3 Drummond Golf Stakes (1200m) on September 6th, will be aiming for a fourth consecutive race win this weekend after taking out each of the Le Pine Funerals Handicap (1400m), Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) and Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m) most recently.

Running on to finish a close second in the Toorak Handicap, Speediness is arguably one of the country’s most talented current racehorses yet to break through for a Group 1 victory and will be aiming to go one better than his 2013 effort in the Crystal Mile for second behind Toydini.

Claiming seven wins and eleven minor places from his 34 competitive starts so far, the Testa Rossa gelding ran a credible fourth in the Group 3 Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) first-up this season, and while disappointing when beating just one runner home in the Sir Rupert Clarke, returned to exceptional form last time out.

Allocated the ideal barrier 4, Speediness’ Crystal Mile claims took a huge boost during the week when returning and leading jockey Nash Rawiller was confirmed to take the ride.

Returning to racing in slick form this time in, trainer Chris Waller has confirmed Bull Point in the 2014 Crystal Mile final field.

Claiming three wins and six minors from his 14 competitive appearances on course so far, Bull Point began his racing career under the guidance of trainer Gai Waterhouse before transferring to the care of Waller at the beginning of the season.

A standout performer over the 2013 Spring, highlighted by a strong third in the Group 1 Golden Rose (1400m), the Fastnet Rock entire won the Group 3 Manfred Stakes (1200m) first-up this year, but was unable to figure in three proceeding starts and returned to the paddock after a forgettable performances for seventh in the Group 3 Sebring Stakes (1200m) in April.

Finishing third in the Group 3 Show County Quality (1200m), second in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1400m) and third in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes prior to a luckless run for sixth in the Toorak Handicap this time in, Waller is confident Ryan Moore will get the best from Bull Point from the ideal barrier 2 in the Crystal Mile.

Arguably securing a career-best result when third in the featured Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) last time out on October 4th, Hooked will leave from barrier 1 in the 2014 Crystal Mile and has been confirmed to be partnered by leading jockey Craig Williams.

Contesting three wins and two minor places over his 19 competitive starts so far, the Casino Prince entire has undoubtedly returned to racing in career-best form this year; finishing fifth in both the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) and Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) before a strong run for third in the Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m) most notably over autumn.
